Our Profile

The task of the Strategic Unit for Organisational Development (OE/PE) is to support the Ruhr University in achieving its development goals. In this context we always see the development of employees related to the development of the organisational units and the development of the entire organisation. A key objective is to create development processes to the benefit of both the organisation and the persons working in it.
On the one hand, our focus is kept on the structures and processes to ensure that the university and its organisational units carry out optimally their core tasks of research, teaching and scientific training.

On the other hand, we offer professional development and further trainings for the Ruhr-University`s managers and employees working in the field of administration, technology and science.

We are responsible for

  • Mapping the operational and organisational structure
  • Management or monitoring of overarching changes
  • Support of a strategic human resources management at the RUB through comprehensive organisational- and professional development concepts (for example management and knowledge transfer)
  • implementation of human resources development measures in relation to the management- and support processes including the organisation of training courses.
  • We support you as an executive, regarding questions about e.g.

  • work organisation (for example workflows, task assignment, use of remedies)
  • cooperation,
  • personnel management,
  • steering of change processes.
